Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship

   The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan offers the following scholarships to Seychellois students who wish to study at Japanese universities. For further details, including application guidelines and forms, please click on the title of each scholarship programme, which will direct you to the Japan Student Services Organisation (JASSO) website.
 

▶ Research Students   [CLOSED]
This scholarship is for Seychellois students who wish to study in graduate courses at Japanese universities as Research Students. Click on "Reserch Students" for more details. The application period for this category in 2024 was from Thursday 4th April to Friday 17th May.
 

▶ Undergraduate Students  [CLOSED]
This scholarship is for Seychellois students who wish to study at Japanese universities as Undergraduate Students. Click on "Undergraduate Students" for more details. The application period for this category in 2024 was from Monday 15th April to Tuesday 28th May.

▶ College of Technology (KOSEN) Students  [CLOSED]
This scholarship is for Seychellois students who wish to study at Japanese colleges of technology (KOSEN) as College of Technology (KOSEN) Students. Click on "College of Technology (KOSEN) Students" for more details. The application period for this category in 2024 was from Monday 15th April to Tuesday 28th May.

▶ Specialized Training College Students  [CLOSED]
This scholarship is for Seychellois students who wish to study at Japanese specialized training colleges as Specialized Training College Students. Click on "Specialized Training College Students" for more details. The application period for this category in 2024 was from Monday 15th April to Tuesday 28th May.

▶ Teacher Training Students  [CLOSED]
This scholarship is for Seychellois teachers who wish to conduct research at designated Japanese universities as Teacher Training Students. Click on "Teacher Training Students" for more details. Applications normally open in December.

Warning:
In some countries there are fraudulent organisations offering to help students apply for Japanese Government scholarships in return for a deposit. The only way to apply for a Japanese Government scholarship is through the Embassy or Consulate-General of Japan in your home country, or through a participating Japanese university. You will not be asked to pay a deposit to apply for the scholarship.
