Courtesy visit to Ambassador Kato by the MEXT Scholarship Student

2023/9/26
The Government of Japan (MEXT: Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) has implemented a scholarship programme for foreign students with the aim of promoting international exchange and friendship and contributing to the development of human resources in other countries through the admission of outstanding foreign students from overseas, as well as contributing to the internationalisation of Japanese universities, improving education and research capabilities.

On 15 September, Ms Karyn Zialor, who passed the examination for the programme and will study as a research student, paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Kato before leaving for Japan. Karyn will spend half a year studying the Japanese language and then go on to study Global Art Practice at the Tokyo University of the Arts.

Ambassador Kato offered words of encouragement about studying and living in Japan.
