Handing Over Ceremony of Airline Tickets for the Students who will visit Japan under Expo International Exchange Program

On August 22 in 2025, at the Auditorium of the Seychelles Institute of Teacher Education, Handing Over Ceremony of Airline Tickets for the students and teachers who will visit Japan under Expo International Exchange Program of the Japanese Government. The students represent three school: English River Secondary School, Anse Royal Secondary School, and International School Seychelles. Ambassador Sakuta attended this ceremony and handed over the airline tickets to the representative students and teachers.
 
In the ceremony, Ms. Bergitta Labonte, Headteacher of Anse Royal Secondary School, expressed her gratitude to the Japanese Government and the Embassy for their assistance and support, and expectations for the students who will be able to broaden their horizon and obtain unforgettable memories through visiting the Expo 2025, exchanging with Japanese students and experiencing Japanese cultures. Mr. Gregg Mondon, the representative student from Anse Royale Secondary School, also expressed his gratitude to the Japanese Government and the Embassy, and his excitement about visiting the country.
 
During their visit, at the Seychelles Pavilion in the Expo 2025, the students will exchange with the Japanese Students of Ozora High School in Ozora Town, Hokkaido and Reihoku High School in Motoyama Town, Kochi, who visited Seychelles in January 2025. Also, the students will visit both towns, experience various aspects of Japan and promote mutual cultural understanding. We hope that these continuous people-to-people exchanges will deepen our cultural ties and bilateral relations, and the students will build bridges between Japan and Seychelles for many years to come.
