Deaf Art Expo 2026

On September 30, 2026, Ambassador Sakuta attended the opening ceremony of the Deaf Art Expo 2026 at the invitation of the Association for People with Hearing Impairment (APHI).
The exhibition features works by Mr. Samuel Morel, a former student and now an art teacher at the Deaf Centre, and Mr. Kian Benoiton, a nine-year-old deaf student. During the ceremony, Ambassador Sakuta took part in the “Scribble Me” activity, in which attendees collaboratively created an artwork by freely painting lines on a white canvas.
