Japanese Cultural Exchange Activities Held at Independent School
2026/10/1
In September 2026, the Embassy of Japan in Seychelles, in cooperation with the Independent School, held Japanese cultural exchange activities at the school.
These included a yukata dressing experience, an online exchange with Ozora High School in Hokkaido that featured a presentation on Japan’s four seasons and culture, and a Japanese cooking demonstration featuring sushi rolls by Chef Nakamura, the Embassy’s official residence chef.
The students actively participated in all the activities and enjoyed the cross-cultural experience. We hope this initiative will deepen their intercultural understanding and broaden their horizons. We are truly grateful to Ms. Isabelle Hoareau, Art Teacher at the Independent School, for her initiative and assistance in organising the activities.
