Japan-Seychelles Exchange Reception on the Occasion of FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025

On April 23, 2025, the Japan-Seychelles Exchange Reception was held at the Ambassador's Residence to mark the participation of the Japanese national beach soccer team in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025. On the Japanese side, the reception was attended by Head Coah Mr TABATA Teruki and his team members, while on the Seychelles side, Minister for Youth, Sports and Family Mrs Marie-Celine Zialor, Seychelles Japan Alumni Association (SEYJAA) Interim Chair Mr Adrian Monthy, and SEYJAA Member Ms Estelle Barreau.
In his remarks at the reception, Ambassador Sakuta encouraged the Japanese national team wishing all the best in the tournament and expressed his commitment to continue his efforts to promote sports exchanges between Japan and Seychelles as well as the understanding of each other's culture and values.
