The 3rd edition of the Japanese Film Festival
2025/2/10
From 5 to 7 February 2025, the Embassy of Japan in Seychelles organized the 3rd edition of the Japanese Film Festival at National Theatre in Mont Fleuri in collaboration with the Seychelles National Institute for Culture, Heritage and the Arts. The opening screening was attended by distinguished guests, including Hon. Roger Mancienne, Speaker of the National Assembly of Seychelles, government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and representatives from the cultural and educational sectors. The films "Iwane: Sword of Serenity" and "DANCING KARATE KID", provided by the Japan Foundation, were generally well received by audiences, offering them a fresh perspective on Japanese history, traditions, and the artistry of Japanese cinema. The Festival served as a great opportunity to deepen cross-cultural understanding and friendship between Japan and Seychelles.
