Japanese Film Festival

　The Japanese Film Festival took place at Deepam Cinema in Victoria from 31^st January to 2^nd February 2024, in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in Seychelles, the Seychelles National Institute for Culture, Heritage and the Arts and Deepam Cinema. The three Japanese films, provided by the Japan Foundation, were screened, attracting a total of around 340 attendees, including the dignitaries from the Seychelles government and members of the diplomatic corps, who joined the opening on the first day. After the screening, we were pleased to receive positive feedback on the touching storyline and the portrayal of Japan’s cultural and social aspects. The event served as a great opportunity to promote cross-cultural understanding and friendship between Japan and Seychelles.
