"After the Sunset"
Set in the small town of Nagashima, Kagoshima Prefecture in southern Japan. Yuichi Hino makes his living farming yellowtail fish, a family business. He lives with his wife Satsuki, his mother Mie and his 7-year-old son Towa. But Towa is not their biological son. Yuichi and Satsuki want to formally adopt him, and when they go through the special adoption procedures at the family court, they discover how Towa was taken into care. They are shocked to learn that his biological mother's name is the same as the woman who moved to the island a few years ago, and has been working at the diner ever since. The tensions between foster parents and biological mother are portrayed in a human drama set on a small island in Japan.
"Children of the Sea"
When Ruka was younger, she saw a ghost in the water at the aquarium where her father works. Now she feels drawn toward the aquarium and the two mysterious boys she meets there, Umi and Sora. They were raised by dugongs and hear the same strange calls from the sea as she does. As the relationship between the three children grows, strange phenomena frequently occur above the Earth.
"ON-GAKU: Our Sound"
One day, high school delinquent Kenji suddenly suggests to his pals Ota and Asakura that they form a band. However, none of them have ever touched a musical instrument before. Their band starts with a bass, another bass, and drums – a unique lineup indeed. The moment they play a note, they are overcome by a sensation they have never felt before, and are quite impressed by themselves. The day after they decide to call their band "KO-BU-JU-TSU" (classical martial arts), they discover that the school already has a folk group called "KO-BI-JU-TSU" (classical arts). Their sound and look definitely clash, but they hit it off after seeing each other play. And now they have their eyes set on taking part in an upcoming rock festival in August.
